Queens-born James Gray, has seemingly taken quite a bit of inspiration from his place of birth, imbuing a variety of his works with a certain grittiness and textural density. Gray’s directorial debut came about at the age of 25, with “Little Odessa”, a critically acclaimed drama, which received the Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival. Success has followed Gray ever since with acclaimed features films like “The Yards”, “We Own the Night”, “Two Lovers”, “The Immigrant”, “The Lost City of Z”, and most recently, “Ad Astra”, starring Brad Pitt. Gray has also contributed to the commercial world, via clients such as Chanel, Hugo Boss, Martel, Citroen, and L’Oréal. He is currently working on his next highly anticipated feature film “Armaggedon Time” starring Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Oscar Isaac, Robert de Niro and Donald Sutherland.
